NHTSA Denies Reconsideration of 1996 Reflecting Surface Rule

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has rejected two petitions seeking to overturn its 1996 decision to rescind the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for reflecting surfaces, as no new evidence or arguments were presented that hadn't already been considered in the original rule.
