Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to Allow Manual Adjustment for Prisoner Transport

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is amending the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to accommodate the transportation of prisoners in police cars, allowing manual adjustment devices for seat belts at forward-facing rear outboard seating positions.
