NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 1995-1998 Ford Windstar MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced the receipt of a petition from Ford Motor Company requesting a decision that 1995-1998 Ford Windstar multi-purpose passenger vehicles, which do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, can be imported into the US due to their substantial similarity to US-certified vehicles and their ability to be modified to meet safety standards.
