NHTSA Amends Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to Allow Dynamic Head Protection Systems

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has finalized a rule allowing vehicle manufacturers to install dynamically deploying upper interior head protection systems, which provide added head protection in lateral crashes, while meeting reduced requirements at storage points and enhanced requirements elsewhere.
