NHTSA Amends Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to Metric Measurements
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a final rule to correct errors in the May 1998 final rule amending Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, which converted English measurements to metric measurements, in response to petitions and public comments from Toyota, the Truck Manufacturers Association, and Ford.
