NHTSA Extends Deadline for Light Trucks to Meet Safety Belt Fit Requirements

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted a four-month extension to the Ford Motor Company, allowing vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) between 8,500 and 10,000 pounds to comply with safety belt fit requirements, originally set to be implemented by January 1, 2024.
