NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 1987 and 1988 Toyota Van MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made the 1987 and 1988 Toyota Van Multi-Purpose Passenger Vehicles eligible for importation into the US, as they are substantially similar to vehicles originally certified for US sale and can be modified to meet safety standards.
