DOT Amends Model Specifications for Breath Alcohol Testers, Proposes New Testing Procedure

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has updated its Model Specifications for Calibrating Units for Breath Alcohol Testers, incorporating an alternative testing procedure using NIST Reference Gas Mixtures and seeking comment on a new infra-red spectroscopy-based evaluation method for both wet bath and dry gas units.
