The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued special conditions for the Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) Model EMB-145 airplane, which will include an optional thrust reverser system with a unique design feature, in order to meet safety standards equivalent to those outlined in part 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
