Rules of Procedure for Invoking Sanctions Under the Highway Safety Act of 1966

The proposed rules of procedure aim to update the outdated regulations by replacing them with new procedures as part of the regulatory review initiated by President Clinton in March 1995. The new procedures seek to simplify the sanction process, aligning with the current authority granted by 23 U.S.C. 402 and eliminating the burdensome hearing process.
