NHTSA Proposes Exemption for Lamborghini and Vector from Average Fuel Economy Standards

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has proposed granting exemptions to Lamborghini and Vector from the standard average fuel economy requirement of 27.5 miles per gallon for model years 1995 through 1997, and establishing lower alternative standards for the two companies.
