NHTSA Allows Importation of Nonconforming 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has decided that certain 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 passenger cars, manufactured before September 1, 1993, without automatic transmissions, can be imported into the US due to their substantial similarity to a US-certified version and ability to be modified to meet safety standards.
