FDA Amends Regulations for Detection of Viruses in Veterinary Biologics

The FDA is updating its regulations to allow for the use of alternative fluorescent dyes in testing for extraneous viruses in animal cells used to manufacture veterinary biologics, and to expand the list of viruses to be tested for, including those found in equine cells.
