NHTSA Allows Importation of Nonconforming 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser multi-purpose passenger vehicles that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to the U.S.-certified version of the vehicle and can be easily modified to comply with safety regulations.
