NHTSA Proposes New Glazing Material for Motor Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has proposed a new rule allowing the installation of rigid plastic glazing in side windows of hatchbacks and station wagons, in response to a petition from General Motors, with the goal of reducing fuel consumption and improving aerodynamics.
