Safety Performance Standards, Research and Safety Assurance Programs Meetings

This notice announces public meetings at which NHTSA will answer questions from the public and the automobile industry regarding the agency's safety performance standards, safety assurance and other programs; and, subject to President Clinton's prior announcement of the federal regulatory reform initiative results, NHTSA will also discuss its decisions concerning motor vehicle regulatory reform. In addition, NHTSA will hold a separate public meeting to describe and discuss specific research and development projects.
