NHTSA Rulemaking Procedures to be Amended

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is making changes to its procedural rules, including extending the time for submitting petitions for extension of the comment period and petitions for reconsideration of final rules, in an effort to improve the review process and allow for more effective review of complex rules.
