The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to update its Airworthiness Directive (AD) for Alexander Schleicher Models ASW-15 and ASW-15B gliders to require more frequent inspections of the wing spar for wood rot, and replacement of any damaged spar, in order to prevent loss of control of the glider due to wood rot.
