U.S. Imposes Import Restrictions on Bulgarian Cultural Material

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has amended its regulations to impose import restrictions on certain archaeological and ecclesiastical ethnological material from Bulgaria, in accordance with an agreement between the U.S. and Bulgaria under the Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act and the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
