BLM to Prepare Resource Management Plan Amendment and Environmental Assessment for Alabama Coal Lease

The Bureau of Land Management is preparing a plan to consider leasing federal coal in Jefferson County, Alabama, in response to a recent application, and is seeking input from industry representatives, state and local governments, and the public on potential environmental impacts and resource conflicts.
