USDA Proposes Rule to Update National Organic Program's National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has proposed a rule to update the National Organic Program's (NOP) National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances, following recommendations from the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) regarding the 2013 Sunset Review of substances on the National List.
