USDA Adopts Final Rule for Florida Tomato Committee Assessment Rate

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for the Florida Tomato Committee from $0.037 to $0.024 per 25-pound carton of tomatoes, effective for the 2012-13 fiscal period and beyond, to help reduce industry costs and maintain program funding.
