The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the withdrawal, without prejudice to a future filing, of the food additive petition (FAP 1B4275) proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one as a slimicide in the manufacture of paper and paperboard articles intended to contact food.
