Importation of Fetal Bovine Serum

We are proposing to remove the prohibition on the importation into the United States of fetal bovine serum from countries in which foot-and-mouth disease or rinderpest exists, and to establish conditions under which fetal bovine serum from those countries can be imported without presenting a significant risk of introducing disease into this country. We believe this action would provide additional sources of fetal bovine serum for use in this country without presenting a significant disease risk.
