Supplementary Time Period for Submission of Public Comment: Deregulation Measures in Japan

On November 22, 1994, the United States Trade Representative (``USTR'') issued a request for public comments (59 FR 60175) regarding the five-year plan for deregulation measures in Japan which the Government of Japan currently is preparing and expects to finalized by the end of March, 1995. The deadline for submitting public comments was December 21, 1994. Persons with a significant interest in deregulation in Japan have requested that USTR provide additional time to submit comments. In response to these requests, USTR has decided to provide for a supplementary time period for interested persons to submit comments. USTR solicits comments from interested parties regarding specific laws, regulations, or regulatory practices in Japan, the removal or modification of which would improve market access for United States products or services.
