NMFS Announces Correction to Endangered Species Act for Southern Resident Killer Whales
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is codifying the endangered status of the Southern Resident killer whale (Orcinus orca) distinct population segment (DPS) in the Code of Federal Regulations, following a correction to the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA).
