Coast Guard Establishes Alternate Tonnage Threshold for Oil Spill Response Vessels

The US Coast Guard is introducing a new size threshold for oil spill response vessels, allowing for larger vessels to be certified under the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, which could increase response capacity and capability.
