FEMA to Suspend Flood Insurance in Certain Communities Due to Noncompliance

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will suspend the sale of flood insurance in communities that have failed to meet floodplain management requirements under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), but may reinstate coverage if documentation is provided prior to the suspension date.
