HHS Proposes Rule to Include Vascularized Composite Allografts in Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network

The US Department of Health and Human Services has proposed a rule to expand the definition of organs covered by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network to include vascularized composite allografts, a type of tissue transplant, and to update the definition of human organs under the National Organ Transplant Act of 1984.
