Federal Railroad Administration and Federal Transit Administration Issue Environmental Impact Statement Notice for Passenger Rail Service Between Tucson, AZ and Phoenix, AZ

The FRA and FTA are jointly preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to study the implementation of passenger rail service between Tucson, Arizona and Phoenix, Arizona, with the goal of serving communities in between the two metropolitan areas. The EIS will assess the potential environmental impacts of the proposed project and consider alternatives to minimize harm to the natural and built environment.
