FAA Assigns New Task to Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has tasked the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC) with developing a voluntary accreditation program for commercial air tour operators that are not required to maintain their aircraft under a continuous airworthiness maintenance program (CAMP). This effort addresses a long-standing recommendation from the ARAC, which was accepted by the FAA in February 2011.
