USDA Adopts New Assessment Rate for California Dried Prunes

The USDA has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for the Prune Marketing Committee from $0.27 to $0.22 per ton of dried prunes, effective for the 2011-12 crop year and beyond, in response to decreased wage and salary expenses.
