U.S. Department of Energy Proposes Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential Clothes Dryers and Room Air Conditioners

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has proposed new energy efficiency standards for residential clothes dryers and room air conditioners, which are identical to those set by a previous rule, and will reconsider the rule if it receives adverse comments.
