IRS Issues Final and Temporary Income Tax Regulations for Foreign Tax Credit Splitting

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released final and temporary Income Tax Regulations addressing situations where foreign income taxes are separated from related income, affecting taxpayers claiming foreign tax credits, as part of the Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act (EJMAA) enacted on August 10, 2010.
