US Extends Family and Medical Leave Act to Include Military Caregivers and Veterans

The US Department of Labor has issued a Final Rule amending the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 to expand eligibility for military caregivers and veterans, in addition to extending leave to family members of active-duty servicemembers and their spouses, as mandated by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 and the Airline Flight Crew Technical Corrections Act.
