U.S. Navy to Issue Regulations for Marine Mammal Protection During Military Training in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) will issue regulations to govern the unintentional taking of marine mammals during U.S. Navy military training activities in the Gulf of Alaska Temporary Maritime Activities Area from April 2011 to April 2016, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004.
