Endangered Species Reviews for Pacific Salmon and Steelhead in California

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Southwest Region has announced the availability of 5-year reviews for five Evolutionarily Significant Units (ESUs) of Pacific salmon and one Distinct Population Segment (DPS) of steelhead in California, as required by the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The reviews recommend keeping the species listed, with adjustments to their boundaries and hatchery programs.
