Renewable Energy Alternate Uses of Existing Facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf: Acquire a Lease Noncompetitively
The US Department of the Interior is revising regulations to make the process for acquiring a noncompetitive Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) renewable energy lease initiated by an unsolicited request consistent with the process initiated by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE). This change aims to simplify the leasing process for renewable energy projects.
