Easing the Ban on Imports From Burma

The US Department of State has determined that waiving the import ban on Burma is in the national interest, supporting reforms since 2011 and encouraging further progress. This decision follows the Government of Burma's continued efforts to address US concerns, including the release of political prisoners.
