OSHA Proposes Update to Cranes and Derricks Standard for Demolition and Underground Construction

On August 9, 2010, OSHA issued a final standard updating the requirements for cranes and derricks used in construction work, but the prior standard continues to apply to demolition and underground construction work. OSHA is now proposing to apply the updated requirements to demolition and underground construction work, as well as correct errors made in the final rule.
