USPTO Considers One-Year Retention Period for Patent-Related Papers Scanned into Image File Wrapper System or Supplemental Complex Repository for Examiners

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is considering a one-year retention period for patent-related papers scanned into the Image File Wrapper system (IFW) or the Supplemental Complex Repository for Examiners (SCORE), with the goal of disposing of unnecessary and costly records.
