NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing by Non-AFA Crab Vessels in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by non-American Fisheries Act (AFA) crab vessels that harvest cod for processing in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska, in order to prevent exceeding the 2011 Pacific cod sideboard limit.
