Establishment and Relocation of Branches and Offices

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is amending the processes by which an insured State nonmember bank may establish a branch or relocate a main office or branch by eliminating certain filing requirements, reducing processing timelines, and updating public notice procedures. The FDIC is also making corresponding changes to procedures applicable to the relocation of an insured branch of a foreign bank.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection Renewal; Comment Request

The FDIC, as part of its obligations under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on the request to renew the existing information collections described below (OMB Control No. 3064-0140; -0176). Reciprocal Deposits: Implementing the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is amending its brokered deposit regulations to conform with recent changes to section 29 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act made by section 902 of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act related to reciprocal deposits, which took effect on July 11, 2026.
