FTC Proposes Rule Changes for Withdrawal of Premerger Notification Filings

The Federal Trade Commission is proposing amendments to the premerger notification rules to provide a framework for withdrawing premerger notification filings under the Hart Scott Rodino Act, allowing parties to voluntarily withdraw their filings and reducing the waiting period for certain mergers and acquisitions.
