Eighth Coast Guard District Temporarily Waives Drawbridge Regulation for Illinois Waterway Maintenance

The Commander of the Eighth Coast Guard District has temporarily exempted the Elgin, Joliet, and Eastern Railroad Drawbridge across the Illinois Waterway from its usual operation rules, allowing it to be closed to navigation for 84 hours to replace the existing lift span with a new one.
