Coast Guard Amends Vessel Inspection Regulations to Allow Classification Societies to Issue IAFS Certificates

The US Coast Guard is updating its vessel inspection regulations to allow recognized classification societies to issue International Anti-fouling System (IAFS) Certificates on behalf of the Coast Guard, in response to new legislation implementing the 2001 International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships.
