FinCEN Issues Geographic Targeting Order for Southwest Border Money Services Businesses

The US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is issuing a Geographic Targeting Order requiring certain money services businesses along the southwest border to report and retain records of transactions over $1,000 and under $10,000, and to verify the identity of individuals presenting such transactions.
