National Park Service Finalizes Winter Use Plan for Yellowstone National Park

The National Park Service has finalized a Record of Decision for the Winter Use Plan at Yellowstone National Park, allowing for increased snowmobile and snowcoach use in the park for the 2011/2012 winter season. The plan, which was approved on December 5, 2011, will implement Alternative 8 and permit up to 318 commercially guided snowmobiles and 78 snowcoaches per day.
