FRA Issues Safety Advisory 2009-03 to Address NTSB Recommendations at Highway-Rail Grade Crossings

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has issued a safety advisory to remind states of their responsibility to identify and document highway-rail grade crossings with low ground clearance signs, and to implement policies to bring non-compliant crossings into compliance with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials' (AASHTO) Green Book standards.
