NHTSA Issues Final Rule on Electric-Powered Vehicles: Electrolyte Spillage and Electrical Shock Protection

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released its second response to petitions for reconsideration of a 2007 rule upgrading the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 214, Side Impact Protection, to address remaining issues raised by the petitions.
